Our client is a multi-disciplinary Practice of professional Chartered Surveyors and construction consultants, based in South London and covering projects across the London area working primarily on schools/ education and residential.

They provide expert advice within the construction industry; they seek to provide bespoke, innovative and deliverable solutions, continually exceeding clients’ expectations providing a personalised and flexible approach to each client’s individual problems and deliver expert advice through a reliable, innovative and professional service. The role

Manage aspects of quantity surveying and cost consultancy including pre and post contract duties.

Produce cost estimates and cost plans.

Manage the tender process, review and analyse tender returns and prepare recommendations to the client as well as advice on procurement routes.

Attend meetings, prepare financial reports and monitor on the status of projects.

Ensure the project remains on budget from design to completion phase.

Full post contract duties including establishing the effect of variations and evaluating and negotiating final account settlements.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, maintaining the highest standards of professional competence at all times.

Support junior team members to deliver our cost management service efficiently and effectively. Required skills and qualifications

Bachelors degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

Working towards becoming MRICS member.

Experience of high value and complex projects gained in a consultancy environment.

Workplace, retail, commercial or mixed use sector experience desirable.

First class communicator, capable of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships. • Commercially aware with excellent negotiation and organisational skills. • Knowledge and experienced in use of Microsoft Office packages, CAD and CostX ideally
