A ‘Good’ mixed school with outstanding features in Newham are seeking an English Teacher to join them full-time ASAP. This is a full-time role lasting at least until July in the first instance. You will be expected to teach English at KS3 and KS4, so previous experience of teaching English at the secondary level is essential.

The Role:

Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at key stages 3 and 4.

Organised and professional manner.

Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the English department and throughout the school.

English Teacher with an ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.

Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons.

Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level.

A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.

As an English Teacher, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
