* Reporting to the Associate Director, IT, Backend Chapter Lead You Will: Produce clean, well-documented, maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
* Participate in planning, design, testing, and code review.
* Build rapid prototypes and work on fast paced projects.
* Work effectively within a cross-functional multi-site team.
* Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
* Inspire and mentor junior engineers on best practices and professional conduct.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience with Python as this is our primary programming language.
* Previous work experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL or similar. Example: Performance Optimization/Analysis of Database.
* Experience with AWS cloud environments, or similar.
* Proficient experience with software development tools such as Git and Gitlab.
* Promotes working within an Agile environment using the Scrum framework
