VAT Accountant

As Financial Accountant for this Global Print Communications business, your focus will predominantly be to assist the VAT team as well as provide support with financial accounting.
Responsibilities:
* Tax compliance activities UK and Europe, including the preparation, and oversight of VAT tax returns.
* Monthly VAT reconciliation
* Provide support to Sales teams during the bid management process, assisting in the design of compliant and tax-effective cross-border supply chains.
* Customs borders and duty implications.
* Manage relationships with tax advisors worldwide
* Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance in the UK and Europe.
* Experience in preparing VAT returns and submitting them to tax authorities.
* Proficiency in using VAT accounting software and MTD.
* Ability to analyse financial data and identify VAT-related issues.
* Dealing with UK/IE VAT query from wider business units and tax authorities.
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
* Professional qualification would be advantageous
