Adecco are currently recruiting for a Senior HR Business Partner for a Local Authority in the South London area.

Monday- Friday, 36 hours per week
Temporary role - 6-month assignment (possibility of extension)
£540 daily rate UMBRELLA (Inside IR35)

*This will be a hybrid role, with the need to be in the office 2-3 days per week *

To partner with Managers and Team leaders and capture the real picture around sickness absence and other Employee Relation issues.

To create and implement resource action plans to address issues challenges - this will include direct intervention in managing absence including liaising with staff to support with Occupational Health referrals, progressing recommendations, coaching of managers in addressing challenges.

Deliver comprehensive and integrated HR consultancy, by providing expert advice, guidance and interventions to enable the service to meet its strategic and corporate objectives.

Create and maintain excellent stakeholder management both internally and externally.

Management responsibility of up to 2 officers

Key Accountabilities and Result Areas:
* Provide a comprehensive HR consultancy service to meet the needs of Directorate adhering to an HR culture which is results oriented, customer focused and forward looking.

* Work with managers to develop a bespoke employee approach on a range of issues, to meet directorate needs and enhance management capacity and capability.

* Work closely with line managers on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and other employee relations matters. Where necessary, liaise with internal and external legal bodies to prepare the client's defence in tribunal proceedings.

* Provide advice to managers, and staff, in relation to employment law, reward, compensation, grading issues and HR policies, practices and procedures.

* Facilitate effective implementation and consistency of the client's HR policies and procedures.

* Use workforce management data developing a proactive, insightful approach of workforce data that embeds the business partnering approach evidencing workforce analysis.

* Take responsibility for assisting managers to provide effective leadership, and communication with their staff. Advise managers on specific HR policies, employment law and the application of general principles of best practice.

* Attend directorate management meetings to keep ahead of developments requiring HR interventions.

* Ensure appropriate record keeping for audit purposes in line with best practice, organisational and data protection requirements
Person Specification
CIPD qualified
* Up to date knowledge of employment legislation, and Codes of Practice and their implications in the workplace.
* Knowledgeable in developing, reviewing and implementing a range of human resources related policies, practices and procedures; and working with a range of stakeholders to ensure consistency in practice across the organisation.
