A law firm based in the city is a seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their Clinical Negligence and claims team. The role will be paying up to £30,000 plus benefits and will be working on a hybrid basis. 2 days in the office 3 from home, but some flexibility will be needed.

The role will be supporting the fee earners and solicitors with all the administration behind the cases. The team provide expert advice to clients on the Claimant side, drawing on extensive experience with claims across all areas of medical treatment including birth and catastrophic injury.

At the moment the team have a lot of international clients, so polish language skills would be a real positive for the team.

Assisting the Solicitors in your team with specific tasks allocated on their files and providing them with progress reports as required
Assisting with the organising and maintaining of the accurate client files both in hard copy and electronically
Speaking with new and existing clients; being the first point of contact
Providing cover and support to the other Paralegals within the team as and when needed
Undertaking such duties and tasks that are appropriate for the role of paralegal such as changes in information systems and new technology, drafting witness statements,instructions and other tasks to assist in the day to day running of cases as may reasonably be required
General administration roles to assist the smooth running of the department.The ideal candidate will come from a paralegal background predominantly with experience in the clinic negligence area. You will have excellent drafting skills as well as the ability to conduct effective legal research. Strong systems experience with the ability to use internal CRM systems. Good time management, you will be able to work to multiple deadlines and ever changing deadlines. Self motivated, taking the initiative to work both autonomously and also cohesively in a team.
