Caritas Futures is supporting well-known charity of Domestic Violence with an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) role based in Slough.
As an IDVA you will provide a high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic violence and abuse through ongoing risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
Duties:
Working closely with high-risk victims of domestic violence to provide a high-quality independent advocacy and support service
Managing caseloads
Assessing referrals, signposting to additional services, and supporting client
Understand legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults
Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims which include legal and civil options, housing, health, and finance. Essential Requirements:
Extensive experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of Domestic Violence victims
Ability to crisis manage and work well under pressure
Strong organisation and diary management skills
Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months
