PLC Support Engineers

4 on 4 off shift rotation (onsite)

£52,000 - £54,000

Overview:

Our client is seeking skilled Control Technician's to join their team in Hounslow. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the productivity and output of the clients material handling and distribution systems by performing maintenance duties in compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and team working practices.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be working shifts onsite
Able to fault find and repair PLC control incidents
Able to interface directly with the duty manager.
To maintain and update as required OEM Controls - IPC, BAS, CM Servers and client device applications
To provide ssupport for OEM PLC's, Safety PLC's, etc.
To support and maintain the documentation and software repositories
To be able fault find communication issues between HLC and LLC components
To monitor and oversee the provision of 2nd/3rd line support
Maintain a customer focus and align with their goals and targets where possible
Work alongside LLC engineers to resolve incidents and fulfil work orders within agreed SLAs
Accurate and detailed handover of information during incidents, work orders or investigations and between shifts.Role Qualification and Skills

Electrical or Mechanical NVQ/BTEC/C&G Lv3
Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering or similar field
PLC engineering qualification
Experience dealing with software version control
Strong knowledge of PLC fault finding
Knowledge of fieldbus technology
Knowledge of drive technologies
Experience of airport or material handling systems preferred. Our client is unable to offer sponsorship for these vacancies
