Dunbar Education is currently seeking dedicated Specialist SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and work in primary schools across Milton Keynes. We have immediate and September opportunities available for passionate individuals who are committed to supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs (SEN).

About the Role: As a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they have access to a tailored and inclusive education. You will work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals to implement personalized learning plans and interventions, enabling students to reach their full potential. This role offers a rewarding and fulfilling experience, allowing you to make a positive difference in the lives of children with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies, ensuring the specific needs of each student are met
Foster positive relationships with students, helping them to develop confidence, self-esteem, and independence
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Support students with personal care and physical needs, as required
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and carersRequirements:

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or education (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN
Flexibility and adaptability to work in different primary school settings
