A mainstream primary school in Reading is seeking a Specialist Behavioural Teaching Assistant

to join their team ASAP. The school is located in the heart of Reading and is passionate about providing an inclusive and nurturing environment for their diverse community of learners. As a Specialist Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for promoting positive behaviour, providing excellent care, and supporting social and emotional needs. You will work closely with a KS2 student to help them feel accepted and facilitate communication and emotional regulation.

SEND/SEN is at the heart of this Reading Primary School, believing in full inclusion for all students. Some of the Berkshire students have difficult backgrounds, requiring closer attention and empathetic approach.

Requirements to join the KS2 Reading school:

Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help pupils succeed.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Relevant qualifications or training in education or behavioural support (preferred).

DBS is essential!

Degrees - Bsc Psychology, Criminology and Sociology qualifications are highly desired!

SENCO/SEND/SEN - experienced candidates WANTED.
