Our client's talented and rapidly growing civils infrastructure team is looking for an Associate Civil Design Engineer. As a consultancy, they pride themselves on providing high-quality, trusted advice and services to developer clients throughout the UK. The type of work is often varied and satisfyingly challenging, they work on an interesting mix of projects and development schemes within the main land use sectors.

The role will involve working directly on projects with clients, including Town Planners, Masterplanners, and Architects, to formulate and promote appropriate technical and value-engineered solutions to facilitate development projects.

As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will be reporting to the Regional Director and expected to oversee the team. Primarily to provide strong technical guidance, oversight and mentoring.

Responsibilities will include:

Design delivery, including the multidisciplinary aspects of design
Applying standards such as DMRB, Manual for Streets and CIRIA SuDs
Proficiently use and support juniors with industry-standard software such as CAD, Autotrack, Microdrainage and Flow.
Project management, including quality, financial and resource requirements
Undertaking team leadership and line management duties, including developing junior staff and driving technical excellence
Accountable for planning and designing deliverable packages for professional submission
Communicating with clients and other stakeholders
Supporting partners and regional director in Reading by fostering client relationships, generating repeat business and work-winning opportunities
