Hours: Monday – Thursday 07:00am – 16:00 and Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm

Job Description

Edale’s Field Service Engineer provides field service activities in support of Edale machines and accessories. The role requires extensive domestic and international travel and is a highly challenging technical position. The job holder will be tasked with managing technical functions, testing equipment, handling repairs, managing engineering projects and conducting machine inspections. You will work directly with customers to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

* To provide resolutions to critical and non-critical unscheduled maintenance in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction

* To lead and conduct the installation and onsite acceptance of sophisticated flexographic/digital presses and converting equipment

* To provide scheduled service and maintenance of all Edale products to ensure maximum equipment uptime

* To assist with machine testing and commissioning duties, where required, working to agreed test procedures and documentation

* To actively generate new service opportunities by identifying the need for additional spare parts, equipment, upgrades, and service contracts

* To take ownership of suggesting and implementing improvements in processes and documentation to help drive the effectiveness of the customer services team

Person Specification

To be successful in your application you will need to:

* Have a HND/Degree in electrical/electronic/mechanical/mechatronic engineering or equivalent relevant experience

* Have experience in a technical field service environment

* Have excellent communication skills both written and verbally

* Be an organised individual with a customer-focus, who is motivated to help others

Desirable:

* Experience with flexographic presses and converting equipment
