We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles. This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable company and contribute to the smooth day to day operation.
About the HGV Technician Role:
* Monday- Friday
* Salary up to £52,000 per annum (including bonus)
* Permanent role
* Swindon based
Duties & Responsibilities for the HGV Technician Role:
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
* Conduct inspections and identify any potential problems or safety concerns
* Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
* Follow safety protocols and ensure work area is clean and organized
* Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs
Experience & Skills required for the HGV Technician Role:
* Previous experience working as a HGV Technician
* Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
* Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
* Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
