Overview:  

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Director on behalf of one of our clients. 
 
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Lead and inspire our operations team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of REDs core project in all areas.
Efficiently manage manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project deadlines and financial objectives.
Streamline workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer service. 
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to industry standards.
Enforce rigorous health and safety protocols to create a safe work environment for our team and clients. Instal a Safety-first culture in all our staff in all areas.
Collaborate with the management team to monitor budgets, control costs, and drive profitability. Regular review of P&L management.
Assist the Procurement manager where necessary to Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms and enhance project outcomes.
Identify training needs and provide guidance to our team to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensuring database records are kept in date.
Work closely with the directors to develop and execute business strategies that support long-term growth and expansion.
Skills and Qualifications:  

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of motivating and leading diverse teams, with a recognised qualification in management leadership.
Health & Safety qualifications and management of safety experience, i.e. diploma, NEBOSH etc
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience of managing profit and loss in an Engineering or safety centric environment.
Sound financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational excellence.
Ambition to take on a greater leadership role and become a shareholder and director in the company.
Honest, open, driven and committed.
High level of energy and drive

To have good judgement and able to build collaborative relationships quickly and effectively.
Team player with willingness to help others and go above and beyond their formal role.
