Welder Fabricator

Job Summary:
CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our client in Exeter area - a global leader in the military sector . The ideal candidate will have experience with power tools, hand tools, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge. This position involves fabricating and welding various metal components.
Responsibilities:
- To follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings relating to the welding and fabrication of component parts and large assemblies. This will include but not limited to, use of Mig/Tig, plasma profiler, guillotine and press brake.
- To ensure the scope and timing of assigned tasks are understood, completed as per requirements and in accordance with relevant working procedures.
- To ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean and usable state; return tools and equipment to appropriate storage area(s) when not being used. Report defects or damage to the fabrication manager.
- To work in accordance with current quality procedures and advise any errors or variances to appropriate manager.
- Experience in a fabrication workshop
Personal specification:
- Experience in a fabrication workshop  Codification or equivalent qualification in
- Codification or equivalent qualification in welding (MIGITIG)
- NVQ Level 3 and or over 2 years equivalent experience and able to pass an internal weld test
