A hugely rewarding opportunity for a Support Worker who has experience working with clients with Autism or Aspergers and complex social needs to join a Local Charity Organisation based in Bath.
 
Salary of £24,500 per annum (an extra £100 per week when on-call)
Contract: This is a full-time, permanent role
Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5 (working 1 in 4 weeks on-call)

The Support Worker role:

To assess and support clients to develop independent living skills that will enable them to move from low-level support to independent living.
Facilitate access to services that meet client health, social, educational, and employment requirements, taking account of client aspirations and needs.
Ensure clients are accessing and managing the benefits that they are entitled to.Key duties include:

Build positive and effective working relationships and agreements with relevant external agencies.
Support Clients to engage in consultation events both within the organisation and in the wider community.
Ensure that organisational administrative systems, including Petty Cash and rent/service charge collection are accurately maintained and updated.
Work in accordance with the organisation’s Equal Opportunities Policy and with all its other policies.
The Successful Supported Housing Worker Applicant:

Experience working with young adults with complex needs / Autism or Aspergers
Ability to undertake assessment and planning for people with complex social needs.
Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with empathy and understanding of the needs of clients with complex needs.
