Residential Support Worker

Role: Residential Childcare Worker

Location: Redruth

Cornwall Salary: £13 - £13.5 per hour

Hours: Full time including evenings and weekends and one waking night shift per week

About the role:

As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will work closely with the young people who we support to enrich their lives. Your responsibilities will include supporting young people to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips out, engage our young people in tasks and activities, undertaking household tasks and complete relevant paperwork.

Example hours:

9am to 9pm
7.30am to 8.30pm
2pm to 9pm
1pm to 11pm, sleep on site, 7am to 10am
8am to 10pm, sleep on site, 6am to 8.30am

The successful candidate must have

Experience working with vulnerable young people
Experience working with complex behaviours and challenging behaviours
Experience working in youth offending or secure services
An understanding of safeguarding
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings
A personality made up of resilience, determination and empathy
