Experienced Warehouse Manager required for Manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Plymouth. Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be supervising the movement, distribution and storage of goods from manufacturers and suppliers to the end user. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward thinking manager with a continuous improvement mindset to add value to a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Control the movement of raw materials and finished goods so that customers receive orders when due.

* Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers (incl Overseas).

* Planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries.

* Overseeing logistics, warehouse and transport services and Contracts.

* Labour, Space Planning and Inventory

* Enforcing industry laws and regulations and company policies

* Resolving complaints and issues regarding the supply chain..

* Maintaining customer service logs and safety records.

* HR Support for all Direct Labour.

* Ensure that all Operational targets in relation to Service, Quality and Productivity are met at all times.

* Inventory control ensuring the correct amount of supply is available within the business.

* Develop and manage KPI’s to the required standard.

* Manage logistic activities in accordance to contractual arrangements (own planning responsibilities).

* Ensure contact is maintained with (logistic) suppliers and customers.

* Deal with escalated queries via email/phone, Teams.

* Ensure Customers’ requirements and delivery instructions are communicated correctly to drivers.

* Produce reports covering operational statistics such as goods received and issued to track performance against KPI’s.

* Ensure capacity planning is being undertaken to accommodate pending deliveries as required.

* Monthly audit of internal and external storage facilities. Reporting deviations from agreed volumes to WHM in times and weekly/monthly cycle counts.

* Support Team/Leaders: oversee progress.

* To ensure Health and Safety and COSHH regulations are always adhered to and that all incidents are reported in line with Company procedures.

* Working within the company's operational procedures and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.

* Additional tasks and responsibilities will be required within reason to support the needs and requirements of the business.

Essential Experience and Candidate Attributes Required:

* Proven Warehouse Management experience gained from either Engineering, Manufacturing or Warehouse / Distribution environments.

* Strong Leadership skills.

* A customer focussed approach with excellent problem solving skills.

* A proactive approach coupled with the ability to act under your own initiative. Working knowledge of Health and Safety.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads successfully and work to tight deadlines.

* Excellent planning and coordinating skills.

* Strong IT skills and Excel experience coupled with experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP.
