Reporting into the European Finance Director, with a dotted line to the Site Director, the Site Controller is a crucial part of the Aurorium leadership team. The successful candidate, in addition to excellent financial acumen, will be driven, curious, customer-focused, business-savvy and able to make the role their own through continuous improvement and value adding activities. Aurorium is a close multi-functional and diverse global team, so the ability to quickly establish rapport and build working relationships is essential.

Job Description

The role definition

To provide and communicate relevant and timely management information to facilitate improved performance and effective control and appropriate financial decisions. Responsible for all site based financial management, ensuring effective financial control, compliance, and reporting, as well as supporting and leading financial aspects of our group business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing support to the completion of the annual statutory accounts, tax and audits

* Leading the timely production of financial results by ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial information into SAP, to assist the management team with the decision-making process.

* Month end close and reporting responsibilities for the site.

* Supporting the annual standard costing and transfer pricing reviews

* Cost variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations

* Management of the inventory provisioning and stock count deviations, whilst supporting the stock count process

* Providing general financial and management accounting support to the wider finance team both in the UK and Europe, as well as supporting the European FD to ensure the function meets all of it's objectives.

* Being a key member of the site leadership team, being able to provide input and guidance to support them with decision making.

* Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

* Exercise autonomy and initiative which will be subject to overall business and site direction.

* Dealing with payroll for the UK side of the business

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for this unique and exciting position will be Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or being qualified by experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience with SAP will be beneficial going into this position as well as strong interpersonal skills due to the commercial and operational focus of the position. The successful candidate will also be highly competent with Excel and be able to work in an autonomous environment. The chosen applicant will be responsible for bringing new ideas and solutions to the table to both drive the business forwards and drive efficiencies, so the ability to demonstrate prior experience of tangibly adding value to a business will be highly advantageous. Experience working as a Site Accountant or within the manufacturing or FMCG sector will be highly beneficial.

* Base Salary - £55k to £65K p.a. dependent upon experience.
