Recruitment Solutions Workforce are looking to recruit an NPD specialist for their client, a specialist food manufacturer based in Swansea. Leading the NPD team, a passion for food is essential. Join our clients’ journey of continuous improvement and work with a fully committed team at all levels.
Our client is offering a flexible position and rate based on experience. They will consider a part time and full time role. No weekend working. Start and finish times can be flexible to suit the right applicant.
They are searching for someone who is structured but is also innovative with a creative flair. Communication skills are key for customers, supplier and colleagues interactions. You must be able to prioritise workload according the changing needs of the business and have some sound project management skills. You must be an organised problem solver who will take ownership of projects and activities who is able to support and mentor junior team member. Having a commercial awareness is a given.
Role Requirements:
- Manage NPD / EPD critical paths from brief to launch
- Receipt of brief / development of EPD brief
- Conduct structured market research
- Development of recipe in accordance with food safety requirements
- Support purchasing team with procurement of new raw materials and packaging
- Kitchen trials and sample production
- Organise and manage factory trials
- Product sign-off
- Artwork approval
- Specification approval
- Product launch
- Post-launch review
