Software Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £53,000 to £57,000 + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus
Days Based - Monday to Friday – 1 Day working from home

My client is a global leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery solutions to a wide variety of fast moving FMCG manufacturing industries. They have sites worldwide with over 35 years of market experience. With a growing presence globally, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within a variety of food and packaging machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an experienced purchasing professional to complement their existing team.
The Role
Software engineer- responsible for the design and implementation of software systems for packaging and distribution equipment. The role is a Hybrid role working 1 day from home. On a day to day basis you will be expected to;
* Design and development PLC Control systems using Allen Bradley and Siemens.
* Ensure software testing procedures are met.
* Provide technical support to customers.
* Carry out on site software commissioning in Europe and Worldwide.
KEY SKILLS
* Degree qualified Software or Mechatronics Engineer
* Design experience with some autonomy, in special purpose machine design or manufacturing related field
* Exposure to the food and packaging industry is desirable but not mandatory.
