Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Remedicare are currently recruiting for an Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) for our clients care home.

This care home have opportunities for an Senior Specialist SaLT who can work based in Birmingham.

As an Senior Specialist SaLT at this care home, you will work as part of an multi/interdisciplinary team providing speech and language therapy input within the BIRT Neurobehavioural model to residents with acquired brain injury and to lead on SaLT provision within the service.

Pay: £46,200 - £54,000 per annum DOE

Requirements:

* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy

* Achieved Dysphagia Competencies

* HCPC registered

* Minimum 2 years’ experience working with adults with neurological conditions or 4+ years post registration experience in an alternative clinical setting

* Minimum 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management

* Valid UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities:

* To adhere to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, Health Care Professions Council

* To provide information about service user’s communication abilities and support needs.

* To undertake comprehensive assessments, considering environment, context and future plans, of residents in order to formulate appropriate rehabilitation goals, care plans, communication and dysphagia therapy programmes

* Work as autonomous speech and language therapist within your multidisciplinary team
