We are currently recruiting for a mechanical maintenance fitter for one of our clients based in Dudley.
Job Purpose
To be responsible for the continuous running of all equipment and machinery within the department. By using a computerised CMMS system, you will perform scheduled, breakdown and installation tasks that are vital for the efficiency of the department. Working closely with other professions to problem solve and improve processes and areas. You will predominantly cover the hydraulic & mechanical maintenance and installations onsite.
Key responsibilities and tasks
To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the maintenance supervisor
To close / update completed scheduled tasks on the site computerized maintenance system
Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
To assist specialist subcontractor’s requirements both for PPM and reactive works
To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required, and requested by management
Install, diagnose and improve hydraulic systems
Advise on mechanical and hydraulic improvements
Requirements
Systems experience – Hydraulics & pneumatics (understand drawings & able to diagnose/ fault find systems)
Knowledge in mechanical principles – Gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, drives & belts, pumps
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role

Your responsibilities are to:
Work safely

Consult and follow any procedures or work instructions that are given to you

Hours of work -
6am till 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
6am till 1.3pm Fridays
