Quality & Environmental Systems Engineer - Nuneaton

Full time, permanent role

Role Overview:

Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001, ensuring manufacturing quality, legal compliance, and continuous improvement. Oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) responsibilities, providing guidance and solutions as needed. Collaborate with the Quality Control Engineer to support site health and safety, ensuring seamless coverage during absences or high workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead internal and external audits for ISO9001 and ISO14001, ensuring QMS compliance.

* Ensure legal compliance with ISO14001 and prepare the company for emergency situations.

* Process concession and deviation requests.

* Collect and analyze KPI data, set objectives, and implement improvements to reduce risks.

* Conduct HSE inductions for new employees.

* Create monthly QHSE reports, lead HSE Committee meetings, and conduct HSE walkthroughs.

* Manage reports of near-misses and accidents.

* Address customer concerns and monitor supplier performance.

* Handle customer questionnaires and submit IMDS data as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Training

Essential:

* Strong knowledge of QHSE management systems (ISO9001/14001).

* Proficient with handheld measuring devices.

* Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments.

* Ability to read engineering drawings and work with 3D data.

* Proficiency in Word, Excel, and similar tools.

* Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

* Excellent communication skills, punctuality, and reliability.

Desirable:

* Knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, composites, and paint processes.

* Lead auditor experience (training available).

* Understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements (training available)
