Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Senior EHS Project Manager on a 18 month Contract, based in Stafford, this role is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office.

This role is Inside IR35.

Successful Candidate must have Power Transmission & Distribution / Renewables / HVDC / Onshore Wind Farm project experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Lead by example for others and provide full and active commitment in the deployment of the clients EHS Policy “Our Commitment to EHS” and compliance to site EHS rules.
• Management and implementation of all environmental requirements of the project.
• Provision of weekly and monthly reports to the client.
• Provision of required environmental plans.
• Delivery of program of environmental works, inclusive of, but not limited to, surveys, pre-construction mitigation, monitoring of mitigation, watching briefs, and exclusion periods.
• Provision and delivery of environmental communication and training plan.
• Environmental monitoring and auditing.
• Assist in recruiting of specialized personnel e.g. ecologist, hydrologist, archaeologist, ornithologist, noise specialist.
• Manage all ongoing programs and action plans implemented by the sites for the protection of the environment, including permits for air emissions, hazardous waste management, and wastewater management.

• Ensure full implementation of client standards and procedures at site (EHS Directives, Work Instructions and Guidelines, EHS Roadmap standard, etc.).
• Monitor fulfilment of Environmental contractual requirements established with the Subcontractors.
• Ensure that all site Environmental events (pollution incidents, near-misses, spills, etc.) are recorded, reported, investigated and analyzed in due time to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor quantity and quality of the site Environmental inspections carried out by the site personnel.
• Advise site management on legal exposure and Environmental concerns related to any change or decision managed at site.
• Define and implement an Environmental Subcontractor audit program to monitor compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and the company requirements.
• Monitor fulfilment of EHS contractual requirements established with the Subcontractors.
• Collation of Sustainability data.
• Recording of Social Value initiatives.

Skills knowledge and experience required
• At least 12 years of experience.
• Be highly experienced in a similar role on construction projects of a similar type and scale.
• Be fully conversant in Scottish and UK consenting and environmental legislation.
• Good computer skill using MS office (word, excel, power point).
• Membership of a recognized professional body e.g IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM, SocEnv.
• International EHS regulatory knowledge /qualification as required.
• Great communication/influencing skills.
• Experience with and knowledge of independent standards organizations and certification programs such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.
• Able to navigate in an multi-cultural environment.
• Strong experience working in a matrix organization
