Sales Office Administrator

Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, the Sales Office Administrator is an integral part of the Sales process, with responsibility for managing the day-to-day relationship with customers, processing and monitoring orders, and providing excellent customer service.
The Sales Office Administrator should take responsibility for the day-to-day relationship with the customers, and be proactive in in terms of checking customer order patterns, addressing potential concerns with orders (eg: MOQ), tracking open orders, re-charging freight, etc

Key Responsibilities

Accurate and timely processing and checking of sales orders, considering MOQs, price-breaks, etc.
Monitoring of open sales orders; proactive communication to customers about likely delays if necessary.
Maintaining customer-specific data in the required software / system.
Maintain a close relationship with Planning / Operations relating to the order management process.
Manage tail-end customers without the need to involve the Sales Managers.
Monitor customer order patterns and proactively chase customers for orders.
Challenge inefficient / ineffective processes and propose improvements.
Ensure recharges to customers where possible, especially wrt freight. Handling customer enquiries / complaints / non-conformances to the ultimate satisfaction of the customers.
Ensure office cover during business hours.
Other Sales Office duties and responsibilities as may be required.

Requirements:

Experience within a fast-paced sales office environment
Experience in a customer service function
Order processing experience
Experience at a manufacturing organisation
Previous experience with Syspro desirable

- Competitive salary starting at £25,000 annually.
- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with regular business hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
