Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in a busy precision machine shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting patrol inspections, ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards. The role involves working closely with engineering drawings, utilizing both metric and imperial measurements. You will be using Abalink CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and proficiency in operating various measuring equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patrol inspections to ensure the quality of products throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct first-off and last-off inspections to verify conformity to engineering specifications.
• Utilize relevant measuring equipment, including micrometers, Verniers, gauges, using Abalink CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), to perform accurate measurements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in a precision machining environment.
• Proficiency in using a CMM for dimensional inspection is required.
• Strong understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Familiarity with various measuring equipment and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing inspections.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and practices is preferred.

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or diploma in engineering or related field is preferred.
