Bookkeeper Position Overview

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Processing supplier invoices
Ordering materials/ parts online and through credit suppliers
Raising purchase orders through our CRM System
Setting up weekly supplier payments
Booking hotels for engineers/contractors.
Reconcile bank statements and card transactions
Processing subcontractor invoices and Submitting monthly CIS Returns
Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close activities
Generate financial reports
Set up and maintain digital filing system
Maintain and file paper records.
Assist with tax preparation and filing, if required
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Ad hoc projects and tasks as required, such as managing the vehicle fleet (arranging MOTS etc)
Submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
Liaise and build a relationship with our external accountants

Bookkeeper Position Requirements

Essential:

A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience in the UK
Proficiency in Quickbooks
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Meticulous and organised
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired:

AAT or accountancy qualification
To Start ASAP
Monday to Friday with some flexibility in start time standard hours are 08:30 -17:00 with a 1-hour lunchbreak
Commute to work should be within 1 hour.

Pay ranging from £27,000-£30,000k
