Primary SEMH Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Full Time, Permanent
Harrogate
£120 – 150 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications )
Start Date - September 2024
The School and Role
This large, SEMH School based in Harrogate are looking to appoint a passionate ECT to teach in a small groups with learners who have SEMH needs. We are looking for a ECT who is looking to progress in a school and for a change and wanting to work in a different setting to mainstream schools. Working in this SEMH School as part of an established team, you will be required to work on a therapeutic wrap-around support and work on the school’s curriculum model. You will become trained to be an expert at play based therapy and learning and trauma informed and restorative practice.
Requirements
The desired ECT will have;
QTLS in required areas or Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject area and willingness to work towards QTS status
Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH
Experience of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary assessment and/or support context for disaffected young people
An ability to work as part of a team
