We are eager to connect with apprentice-trained mechanical engineers, technicians, and fitters, particularly those with a background in power transmission products and rotating equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, turbines, and related industries.
Key Responsibilities include:
Collaborating within a team tasked with the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of large-scale rotating equipment and machinery.
Disassembling, examining, identifying faults, and testing various types of rotating machinery, including transmissions.
Potential onsite work, nationally and overseas as requiredWe are looking to speak to applicants who possess the following:
Formal credentials in a pertinent field such as Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND, etc.
Prior experience in a maintenance, assembly, or construction position, preferably with a focus on large rotating machinery. These may include pumps, transmissions, compressors, turbines, valves, diesel engines, etc.
Technical skills in a mechanical background
Ability to read engineering drawings and use general workshop measuring equipmentThe successful Mechanical Technician will receive:
Annual salary between £29,396.00 - £34,118.00
36.25 hour week - over time available at a generous rate
