Job Description
Operate tractor-trailers and/or other Class A vehicles to transport goods between various locations
Pre-cool and monitor new refer trailers.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and ensure all safety equipment is in working order
Secure cargo safely and within weight restrictions using straps, pads, rope, and other fasteners
Read maps and comply with all DOT rules regarding hours of service and rest breaks
Maintain log books and record keeping of working hours, miles, and shipments
Efficiently Unload palitized product from 3 accessible temp zones of the trailer using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
Communicate accurately to dispatch about deliveries, loads, hours, and any issues on the road
Conduct cargo checks during transport to ensure safe delivery of food grade products
Comply with all company and Department of Transportation regulations
Handle customer/consumer feedback and ensure concerns are addressed appropriately
