Reports To:
The Material Planner Level I will work under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager.
Job Overview:
As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will perform a wide array of Supply Chain duties including day to day inventory and purchase management, New Product Development support, Customer Service Management, Data management, and special projects to ensure successful Demos for our VIP Customers. This member will have a chance to support various teams to ensure successful growth for our company.  Your goal will be to optimize efficiency, minimize delays, and meet customer demands effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Materials Management:
Generate and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules, forecast, and inventory targets. 
Create purchase orders for all corresponding items. 
Monitor supplier performance to ensure on time delivery, quantity and quality of material.
Comply with all aspects of supply agreements which includes contractual minimums, shipping lead times, pricing among others.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure material requirements are met, serve as an escalation point and communicate any changes to key stakeholders.
Support PO to invoice matching efforts and resolve invoice payment issues.
Handle Customer Service Calls/Questions/Concerns and be DIR until resolution.
Manage all distributor orders for our larger customers which includes order management, freight scheduling, and delivery.
Inventory Management:
Track and adjust inventory levels and reorder points based on demand forecasts, and identify variances.
Ensure FIFO and FEFO practices are followed at each warehouse for each perishable product.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to align with changing demand patterns to prevent stock outs or excessive inventory, expedite materials that may delay schedules to minimize disruptions. 
Assist in material shortage investigations and outcomes.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with sales, operations and R&D to anticipate upcoming menu changes, promotions and events that may impact inventory needs.
Participate in key meetings; provide updates and follow-up on any requested expedite requirements.
Partner with warehouse and accounting to resolve errors or conflicts of receipts.
Leads projects related to Materials Planning to support New Product Introductions and cross functional improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Material Planning, Purchasing, or related field, is strongly preferred.
Previous experience with purchasing fresh produce and dry goods (i.e. paper products, plastics, janitorial supplies, etc.); preferred.
Advance knowledge of Excel – Must be able to build and apply advanced formulas, Use the Formula tab and Functions library, have strong working knowledge of Charts, be able to troubleshoot in Excel, etc.  
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills & techniques.
Effective planning & organizing skills; ability to handle multiple tasks/duties.
Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Readiness to adapt effectively to constant changes in priorities.
Ability to maintain a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor, conduct, and working relationship with peers, management, employees, and other individuals that interact with this position.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $85,000
