USA Firmware is supporting a client that is a leading technology company specializing in embedded systems solutions, with a focus on cutting-edge platforms such as Renesas Synergy.
Our team is currently seeking a skilled contractor to join us in updating and optimizing the platform for enhanced performance and connectivity.
Role Overview:
As an Embedded Systems Engineer contractor, you will play a crucial role in updating the platform from Synergy 1.7 to 2.6, implementing ThreadX real-time operating system, and enhancing cellular communication capabilities. This position requires expertise in C/C++ programming languages, along with previous experience with Renesas microcontrollers and ThreadX OS.
Key Responsibilities:
Update platform from Synergy 1.7 to 2.6 utilizing ThreadX OS.
Implement cellular communication protocols, focusing on Narrow-band IoT (NB-IoT) technology.
Enhance thread architecture for improved wake-up call cycles and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Integrate Embedded AWS services (nice to have).
Collaborate with the team to optimize processes and ensure project success.
Provide regular updates on project progress and address any technical challenges effectively.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proficiency in ThreadX real-time operating system.
Experience with Renesas microcontrollers and Synergy Platform.
Strong programming skills in C language; C++ is a plus.
Knowledge of cellular communication protocols and NB-IoT technology.
Previous experience in updating and optimizing thread architecture.
Familiarity with OTA update processes.
Experience with Embedded AWS services (nice to have).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Additional Information:
The position requires initial on-site presence in Louisville, KY for 2 weeks, followed by remote work within the East Coast time zone.
The project duration is 6 months, with a potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Immediate availability is preferred.
