Role Summary:
In this role, you’ll be tasked with performing essential duties as a part of both the Iontra research team and the product development team. You’ll be responsible for implementing and consistently maintaining a disciplined and planned set of daily and ad-hoc processes and laboratory activities described below in order to advance our technologies and applications. This is a full-time role located in our Centennial, CO office in a fast-paced startup environment.
Salary Range: $90k-$120k (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).
What You’ll Be Doing:
Designing mechanical systems, enclosures, jigs, fixtures, brackets, and other electro-mechanical elements
3D modeling using CAD Software (Solidworks, Onshape)
Collaborating in thermal solution designs, wire harnesses, electromechanical fixtures and assemblies with electrical engineers
Outlining, defining, and performing engineering tests
Assembly and testing of system designs
Writing and maintaining documentation with Atlassian based tools and git version control systems
Mentoring team members on their portions of the design and improving their skillsets
You’ll Need These Qualifications:
Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or similar field
5+ years of experience working in a relevant role designing mechanical hardware
Experience with product design, from specification to assembled product
Proficient in CAD design: complex assemblies, sheet metal, and drawings
GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis
Strong problem solving and debugging skills
Familiarization with testing methodologies and best practices
Clear communicator and collaborator with team members
Desired Qualifications:
Thermal analysis and flow simulation (CFD)
Liquid cooling design
Large sheet metal cabinet or enclosure design
Electronics (PCBA) packaging design
Experience with high voltage electronics
Knowledge of battery systems
Vendor management, part sourcing & procurement
Test fixture/jig design for production or test environments
Comfortable working independently with little input
Ansys experience
