Job Description
In this Outreach Specialist role, you will be an integral part of the Operational team, responsible for greeting clients and managing the reception area, client outreach, and appointment scheduling. In this role, it is important that you quickly and expertly assess the needs of job seekers and guide them through employment. This is a critical role in that you will be responsible for the first impression of the center, initial assessment of job seeker needs, overview of career center services, and directing the job seeker to the right service quickly.   In this role you will: • Provide job seekers with social service referrals • Provide assistance in the resource room as needed with a special focus on encouraging and empowering job seekers to utilize self-help resources • Assist with Unemployment Compensation Exhaustee list outreach • Screen, direct calls, and maintain referral log
