Job Description
The Pharmacovigilance (PV) Business Process Office is comprised of Business Process Owners (BPO’s) who are accountable for the definition, health, and performance of PV’s key end-to-end processes. The BPO partners closely with various process stakeholders to ensure alignment of people, process and technology and are responsible for the performance of PV’s key end-to-end processes in realizing their objectives as measured by process indicators and are empowered to identify and champion improvements.
Responsibilities
 Establishes and implements improvement methodologies and techniques to be used, governance structure, project management structure and progress reporting
 Develop and assess integrated project plans, resource projections, risk plans, and effectiveness metrics for each initiative.
Accountable for helping team navigate the change management process effectively and efficiently
Providing program management leadership across a complex program of projects with a large global implementation.  This role will be integral in setting and ensuring alignment across a set of integrated initiatives and ensuring alignment with the longer term program strategy.
This position is responsible for problem solving, risk mitigation and contingency plans at a global level
Actively shares learning and collaborates with other Initiative PMs to apply best practices to supported teams.
Supports high performing project teams through monitoring and assessing the team’s performance
This is the second level position (of 2 levels) within a job family which responsible for overseeing the management of projects that are cross-functional and cross-divisional, highly complex, have high impact and are top priority for the organization
This position will report into a director level and will have direct and indirect reports.  Partners with the Director to mentor and guide more junior roles in the team.
Significant Work Activities
Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
Frequent to continuous computer usage (greater or equal to 50% of the workday) is required
