Safety, Health & Environment Director

Job Description
AECOM is seeking Safety, Health & Environment Director to be based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
Partners in the development and administration of the company's safety, accident prevention, and environmental policies and programs for the home office and field operations.  
Establishes a thorough knowledge of the Company and its organizational structure and philosophy, as well as a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing, engineering and construction industries.  
Displays the proven capability to work with department heads, subsidiaries and field operations to resolve safety and environmental issues; to advise executive and middle management on professionally related issues; and to manage people through excellent leadership and communication skills.  
Assists in the supervision of all Department safety, accident prevention, and environmental activities and in the selection and supervision of project safety, environmental and medical personnel.  
Plans and conducts training for project safety, environmental and medical personnel in the areas of policy, procedures, inspection, documentation, training a-nd accident investigation.  
Represents the Company on technical and professional committees and assists in local, State, Federal and industrial code formulation.  
Under the direction of the Sr. Director, supervises ES&H staff.
