Material Handler
The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, m aterial handling, shipping / receiving experience with forklift Operation.
PAY RATE: $17.00hr
LOCATION: West Lafayette Indiana 47906
DUTIES:
* Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.
* Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.
* Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
* Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
* Completes written and computerized documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Requires a high school diploma or GED.
* Government Contract client requires US Citizenship (Passport or BC and SS required to interview)
* Drug Test
* Background Check
* Computer skills to use email system and look up parts
* Forklift experience ABILITIES:
* Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.
* Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
* Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.
* Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
* Effective verbal communication skills.
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
