Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. The location is in Corvallis, OR
The working schedule for this role is varies, rotating weekends, 3 x 12s anticipated. Schedule to be further discussed with hiring manager.
The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
Vacation coverage required

The pay: $84.86 Hourly ($61.00 Taxable, $23.06 Stipend) = $3,026.00 Weekly = $10,347.00 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
Recording patient vital signs and medical information
Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests
Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
Administering non-intravenous medications
Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing
2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery as a Registered Nurse
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
Healthcare Provider AHA Level BLS required
NRP and STABLE preferred
Perinatal related RNC certification preferred
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
Basic computer skills

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Center for Women and Families at GSRMC is a high reliability, team-oriented department serving a diverse population of patients from our three area counties. The center provides Evidenced Based care to Pediatric, Gynecological, and Obstetrical patients in collaboration with local OB/GYN physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, Pediatric Hospitalists, Lactation Consultants, and a highly skilled nursing team. Delivery rate averages 850 births per a year, and a low primary C-section rate validated by national recognition for prevention for the first C-section in collaboration with GSRMC CNM and OB provider groups. The Center for Women and Families is a member of the Oregon Maternal Data Collaborative, participating in statewide safety initiatives and QI data collection with an active team of nurses who demonstrate a long-term commitment to advancing care and supporting the patient and family throughout the lifespan.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
GSR LDRP:Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing.
GSR Labor and Delivery:ACLS preferred.
Basic Fetal Monitoring skills preferred.
Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
OR/C-Section circulation experienced preferred.
GSR Special Care Nursery:Special Care Nursery Level II or III or equivalent experience in care and stabilization of sick neonate preferred.
GSR Mother Baby Unit:Basic Perinatal nursing, Med/Surg and/or Mother/Baby post delivery experience preferred.
GSR Pediatric:PALS preferred.
Acute Care Pediatric experience preferred.
