This position will be onsite working in Greensboro, NC, 5 days per week in the lab or office. Up to 5-10% travel required to manufacturing sites or meetings domestically within the US, occasionally internationally, as needed. Duties:
Contribute to the complete packaging development process, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, performance testing, and regulatory compliance for agricultural chemical product registration, transportation, storage, and use. You may develop a variety of product packaging from large bulk to small containers for granular or liquid products, including bags, jugs, bottles, or caps according to ISTA/UN and ASTM4169 standards.
Provide troubleshooting support to adjacent supply chain functions (procurement, manufacturing, quality, etc.) to ensure a safe, user-friendly customer experience.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) teams ensuring all packaging-related milestones are completed on time.
Expand knowledge of package technologies, materials, and testing related to the development of new packaging components.
Implement innovative and sustainable packaging solutions that maximize our competitive advantage and build brand preference.
