Job Description
Position Summary:
Performs intake and inspection of lost and found items, customer outreach, public information, over-the-phone and face-to-face customer service, and calls data analytics. May perform other related tasks that are a part of the Communication Center’s operation. Work is supervised directly by the Communication Center manager.
Essential Functions:
The responsibilities of our intern may include but are not limited to:
Assisting in the secondary inspection of lost items to make sure contents are accurately itemized and all identifying information captured.
Utilizing several methods such as email, letters, and phone calls to contact potential and verified owners of lost property.
Utilizing the Flight Information Display System (FIDS) software to answer customer inquiries related to flights status.
Calculating and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data collected daily by on the calls logs.
Operating the paging microphone to broadcast audio announcements throughout the terminals, and utilizing related software to display visual announcements on the Airport monitors.
Demonstrating the highest level of professionalism when greeting customers at the receptionist window by adhering to the Communication Center’s Customer Service Guidelines as well as our Receptionist Window Protocol.
Performing ad hoc projects as necessary

Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and basic skills in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to plan, implement, evaluate and report activities conducted.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare written and electronic documents.
Ability to communicate orally, both in person and by telephone.
Ability to establish rapport with others.
Ability to present oneself in an appropriately personable and professional manner to the public.
Ability to receive and utilize constructive feedback regarding performance, presentation and relationships with others.
Ability to be both consistent and flexible as circumstances warrant.
Work-Life:
Summer 2024 Temporary in office Monday – Friday.
