We are seeking a permanent Site Manager \ Agent to join a well established civil engineering sub contractor based in the North East with specific Roads, and Sewers experience.
The company has been established for over 20 years, has a turnover circa £16 Million per annum and employs 25 direct staff and including subbies has around 60 staff in total. They normally has around 7-8 live longterm projects around the North East ranging from Teesside to Morpeth with around the £5 Million value. Their clients are all new build housing developers such as Barratt Homes, keepmoat homes etc.
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager that has strong knowledge of civils packages based on deep drainage, new roads and new mains sewers, sud ponds, Attenuation Tanks to name but a few. This management role is working off the tools and entails day to day management of the site.
The ideal candidate come from a groundworker, plant operative or engineer background preferably but not essential. Duties of the role will include:
* Manging direct and sub contractor staff on site
* Ensuring site specific Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Health & Safety is followed
* Efficient management of project resources, encompassing labour, plant, and materials.
* Monitoring project progress against the established program.
* Active participation in client meetings.
* Responsibility for change management, closely collaborating with the commercial team.
* Document control to ensure organisational efficiency.
* Conducting "Toolbox Talks" keeping daily site diary
We seek applicants with the following qualifications and experience:
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* CSCS Managers Card
* Competence in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
* Experience in roads, sewers, deep drainage, new road and junction civils works.
