UKPN Services is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join its Commercial team based in Chatham.
The successful candidate will have a salary of £61,723 and a bonus of 3%, as well as other benefits such as 25 days of annual leave, personal pension plan, tenancy loan deposit scheme, and discounted access to sports and social clubs.
The main responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor include providing professional quantity surveying support to the UKPN Services business across specified long-term contracts and competitively tendered client projects, managing commercial matters for those contracts and projects, supporting a commercial project team in the management of clients and sub-contractors and supplier contracts, and advising others regarding the application and interpretation of different forms of contract in use within UKPN.
The ideal candidate will have quantity surveying experience and a track record in managing varied contracts from a quantity surveying perspective, operate with some degree of autonomy, have experience of commercial activity in a competitive, client-led construction project management environment, and preferably have a formal qualification in quantity surveying or other relevant business discipline.
A professional qualification or membership of the RICS, CIOB, ICES or other relevant Chartered Institute, experience in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Primavera P6, and an IOSH Certificate would be an additional advantage.
