Microbiology Operations Technician (Temporary)

£14.28/hr inc shift allowance

Job Elements: -

* Working shifts, mornings (7am-3pm) and afternoons (2pm-10pm) on a weekly rotation

* As part of the quality team, microbiology testing and reporting of raw materials, bulks, intermediate and final product samples.

* Moisture testing of components.

* Environmental monitoring of manufacturing and testing areas.

* Sampling and testing of manufacturing water system.

* Routine Bioburden testing of manufactured product

* Booking in of samples to microbiology database

* Keeping accurate notes and records of all work completed

* Assisting the microbiology team with any duties required

The ideal candidate will have:

* Microsoft office experience essential (including Excel)

* Must have a good understanding of microbiology and associated techniques

* A degree in microbiology or a related subject/experience working within a regulated microbiology laboratory

* Effective verbal communication to support team working and collaboration
