Learning Support Assistant Role:

You'll work closely with individual students or small groups, providing help tailored to their specific needs.
For students with physical disabilities or medical needs, you may assist with personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting, and mobility support
Some students may require extra support in managing their behavior. You might implement strategies outlined in behavior plans, provide reinforcement for positive behavior, and offer redirection or de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Maintaining open communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' support network is crucial.
As an advocate for inclusive education, you'll strive to create a supportive and accepting school environment where all students feel valued and included.
The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience working as a learning assistant within an educational setting.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioral challenges.
Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
