Job Title: Clerical Advisor

Hours: 35 hours per week Mon - Friday 9am - 4.30pm

What it's about

A Clerical Advisor is responsible for reviewing all potential clerical marking errors and providing an outcome. Supporting queries or questions from other teams, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure deadlines are achieved.
What you'll be doing
· Checking scripts/mark sheets with potential clerical errors
· Making a decision on whether there is;
A) no error
B) there is an error which can be resolved and results in a mark change
C) there may be an error but it needs to be confirmed by an principal examiner
· Resolve all queries that are returned from the principal examiners, checking for additional discrepancies that may have been introduced
· Escalate queries to the clerical coordinator which may need to go to Assessment colleagues for resolution
· Working to achieve processing targets to ensure deadlines are achieved
· Managing your workload effectively
What we're looking for

· Background in an administrative role dealing with tight deadlines and a demanding environment
· Excellent organisational skills
· Effectively managing your workload
· Excellent prioritisation skills
· A team player
· Excellent business communication skills (written and verbal, including email, face to face and telephone)

Desirable
Teaching experience
Exam marking experience
