Communications Manager - Eastleigh - Hybrid role working from home 2 days a week - £40,000 - £45,000 Own transport essential due to travel required

We are excited to be partnering with a local business who work closely with the community, and they have just received funding for a huge project that will take them through to 2030. They are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to lead the communication strategy and support in the delivery of this major project.

You must have extensive experience within a similar role and be passionate about delivering on promises.

Communications Manager duties include:

Support the head of function to develop and implement the regeneration communication strategy and plan by working closely with the community development officer, project team and colleagues across the business to build and maintain strong relationships.
Establish annual communication and project objectives and priorities in ensuring they the company values and best practice.
Take the lead in the production and implementation of the agreed programme of communications and engagement, in collaboration with the Head of Press and External Affairs and the project team.
Work closely with the community development officer ensuring effective communication with all project stakeholders including customers, local community, councillors and others as appropriate.
Provide support to the project team to make sure the regeneration programme is successfully delivered against milestones as per the agreed timeline, scope, and budget.
Plan and prepare content for social media posts.
Work with press office on content for media releases.
Coordinate the production of a regular customer and community newsletters.
Produce and deliver presentations to promote the programme.
Support in the organisation of stakeholder and PR events.
Coordinate the production and regularly update the programme's communication tools including templates, meeting briefings, key messages, internal updates, project briefings.
Provide project management support to the programme's working group and meetings as well as those associated with specific work stream tasks as required.
Build proactive relationships with project team members, facilitating efficient working relationships to strengthen and contribute to the high performing culture within the team.Experience and skills required

Experience as communications lead for a major programme or project
Experience of designing and delivering inclusive community consultation programmes.
Experience of working in a media or PR environment and journalists, with a keen eye for what makes a story newsworthy.
Evidence of report writing suitable for a range of audiences including residents, colleagues and senior managers.
Friendly and effective interpersonal skills, including teamwork, networking and with the ability to positively motivate all stakeholders, whilst building trusted relationships.Please be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled.
