Contract Thermal Simulation Engineer, up to £40.00 per hour, Coventry, Warwickshire + work from home

* Initial contract of 6 months, up to £40.00 per hour commensurate with experience on an inside IR35 PAYE contract basis.

Are you an Automotive Engineer that wants to work on the very latest, cutting-edge battery electric vehicle and fuel cell vehicle technology projects?

Do you have a background in vehicle thermal management systems e.g., experience of HVAC systems, heat pumps, refrigerant systems, battery thermal management systems, fuel cell systems, powertrain cooling systems?

Do you have experience of 1D Simulation, ideally using GT-Suite?

This Contract Thermal Simulation Engineer job will involve:

* Supporting the development of innovative vehicle thermal management systems for energy efficient battery electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicle applications for established vehicle manufacturers and start-ups.

* Support the concept definition, design and development of the vehicle thermal management system using model-based design techniques.

* Using GT-Suite to develop, correlate and validate 1D models of HVAC systems, battery thermal management systems, fuel cell systems and powertrain cooling systems.

* There will be opportunities to get involved in development tests at the system and vehicle level.

This Contract Thermal Simulation Engineer job will suit:

* Prior experience of working on automotive / vehicle projects focused on thermal energy management and vehicle energy efficiency e.g., HVAC systems, heat pumps, refrigerant systems, battery thermal management systems, fuel cell systems, powertrain cooling systems.

* You will have a good knowledge and understanding of the design and integration of how automotive thermal systems.

* Previous experience of using GT-Suite for 1D modelling and simulation.

* Strong knowledge and understanding of thermodynamic principals related to vehicle applications.

* You are likely to be degree qualified in an automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
