Your new company
A global leader with offices in Midsomer Norton are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. This is a newly created role reporting to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a small but well-established finance department together with preparation of the monthly management accounts. This position would suit a qualified or qualified by experience Accountant who is keen to progress in their career and who is pragmatic, has good communication skills and a high attention to detail.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within the finance department, you will be responsible for the following:
Preparation of management accounts
Financial reconciliations and control of key balance sheet accounts
Preparing and reviewing journals
Supervision and assistance to finance administrators
Oversee all day-to-day financial transactions
Payroll review
VAT returns & EC sales/Intrastat
Year-end accounts and audit queries
Stock control and assistance to supply chain team
Systems and controls
Other ad hoc financial related tasks
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in preparation of management accounts
Uncompromising attention to detail
Good technical accounting knowledge
Organised and strong work ethic
Commercial experience
Strong communication skills and ability to build good working relationships
Team player
Good knowledge of accounting systems
Calm but confident manner
Pragmatic and can do attitude
Desire to build a solid, secure career with a rapidly growing company
