HGV Class 1 Day & Night Drivers
Location – Chepstow NP16
Salary:
* Days £17.00 - £21.00 PER HOUR
* Nights £18.00 - £21.00 PER HOUR
Shift pattern, Thursday - Monday.
* Days 05.00 - 07.00 start times
* Nights 17.00 - 19.00 start times
Must be able to work weekends so you could work Thursday - Sunday/Monday.
We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Thursday to Sunday/Monday basis, day & nights shifts.
The role is completing a range of different class 1 roles, trunking, RDC to RDC, ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service.
Key tasks:
* Delivering items to customers
* Trunking
Duties:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's licence (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Must complete an unpaid induction before starting with the company which are available on Monday 20th or Tuesday 21st May 2024
